ABOUT US
You can feel the history as soon as you step foot into our beautiful sanctuary at Taylorsville Baptist Church. The church has been a community staple in Hanover County since its founding in 1841, celebrating 180 years as one of the oldest churches in Virginia.
The original house of worship, the "Taylorsville Meeting House", was used until the present day brick building in which we worship was built in 1856. Since then, we have continued to expand to serve our members through the addition of a new educational and fellowship hall building and renovations of our historic sanctuary.
Not only have we expanded physically from the original foundation of our church, but we have also flourished with the growth of a youth program and minister, annual mission trips, continuation of our Vacation Bible School program for children, and our most recent addition of our "Feed My Sheep" food pantry, where we serve the members of our community once a month by giving and delivering groceries.
We have laid a solid foundation on which current generations and generations to come can continue the rich history and heritage of our church. We are a community of faith that believes that all are sinners and all are children of God who come together to experience God through worship and through one another.
