COMMUNITY OUTREACH
"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" Philippians 2:4

Taylorsville Baptist takes pride in being active members of our community and spreading the good news about Jesus Christ through various ministries. Whether through prayer, giving back with our food pantry, or sending out thoughtful cards to let community members know they are cared about and loved by our congregation, there is a way for everyone to get involved in our missions!
CARD MINISTRIES
"FEED MY SHEEP" FOOD PANTRY
MUSIC MINISTRY
Members of our congregation come together to send out cards to members of the church and community; whether they be students in college, members of the community, or members of the church who need a note of kindness.
Through the Feed My Sheep ministry project, we serve 50+ families (including 150+ family members) on a monthly basis. Our food bags are stocked and picked up (occasionally delivered) to local families experiencing crisis and hardship. We collect items weekly near our Fellowship Hall. Donations welcome weekly!
Taylorsville's choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings. In addition to weekly anthems and choral worship calls, the choir prepares special music for holidays. On Sunday's we gather just before worship for warm-up and run-through. We welcome all who want to join us in joyful song!

SHUT-INS MINISTRY
OUTREACH: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
The flower committee ensures the sanctuary is filled with fresh flowers every Sunday to honor the members of our church and community as well as special events and occasions.
Deacons lead this ministry by keeping in close contact with their designated families through visiting, sending cards, and phone calls.
Additionally, members of the church are regularly updated and aware of who the shut-ins and sick members of the church and community are and are capable of reaching them as well.
Each summer, our VBS team brings together an exciting week of fun for children and youth in the community! It's a creative way to introduce younger community members to the life and love of Christ outside of the traditional walls of a worship service. Bible School is 9am-12pm during a selected week of the summer (stay up to date with our calendar for specifics) and include an age focused bible study class, recreation, missions, arts/crafts, snack, music, and prayer!
